Custody Note v1.9.79 — updates for criminal defence professionals using the desktop attendance note app on Windows and macOS.
- Faster cold start on Windows and Mac — useful UI (Home / lock / first-launch) typically within about a second on a normal laptop
- Stopped wiping Chromium cache on every launch (was forcing a full cold disk cache)
- No longer waits on QuickFile credential pull before showing the window
- Home splash no longer waits for magistrates court list or LAA reference JSON; those load in the background
- Heavy screens (billing, LAA forms, reports, AI, templates) load after first paint instead of blocking startup
- Police station catalogue re-seed skipped when the bundled file is unchanged
