Custody Note v1.9.91 — updates for criminal defence professionals using the desktop attendance note app on Windows and macOS.
- Cloud sync: end silent death — every sync cycle (including auth_required / rate_limited / offline skips) now persists lastSyncCycleAt + skip reason and logs cycle attempts so Settings / diagnostics never go quiet for days
- Empty-cloud auto-heal: when this device has local notes but a from-epoch probe proves the cloud is empty (or inventory was never verified after a false ack), automatically re-upload all local records with written ack + verify pull — no hidden button required; backoff-capped; never wipes local data
- Footer / Data & Sync: surface Activate licence to sync, Healing empty cloud, rate-limit remaining time, last cycle time, and heal status — never claim Synced while auth is missing or empty-cloud heal is pending
- Licence activation immediately restarts the sync worker; rate-limit sticky gate still expires and resumes automatically
- Tests: silent skip heartbeat, empty-cloud auto-heal decisions, false-ack lock, preserve-local Full re-sync guards
