What's New in Custody Note v1.9.97

Outcome (page 8): removed Next Date and Next Location fields from custody and voluntary forms

Release v1.9.97

Custody Note v1.9.97 — updates for criminal defence professionals using the desktop attendance note app on Windows and macOS.

  • Outcome (page 8): removed Next Date and Next Location fields from custody and voluntary forms
  • PDF / print / Word exports no longer list those Outcome form fields (bail-return and court fields unchanged)
  • Existing saved values are left in attendance JSON; they are just no longer collected or shown
  • Arrest / Detention grounds: option labels now show common police shorthand (to interview, to prevent disappearance, to search, etc.) while still saving the statutory PACE s.24 / s.37 wording
  • Clarified note that “to search” is not a separate s.24 necessity criterion, plus s.24(6) public-decency caveat
  • Renamed Save now → Force save so the control clearly covers disk write, verified backup, and central push (Ctrl/Cmd+S unchanged)

Download the latest version or use in-app auto-update if you already have Custody Note installed.
