Release v1.9.86
Custody Note v1.9.86 — updates for criminal defence professionals using the desktop attendance note app on Windows and macOS.
- Data-safety architecture: central account sync is Source of Truth; generational backups remain independent PITR (not the same thing)
- Force Save / Save now: flush disk → verified backup → outbox → attempt central sync drain → status distinguishes Safe locally vs Safe locally + central copy confirmed vs Waiting/Syncing/Sync problem — never ambiguous Saved
- Persistent outbox mutation_id (sync_id+version+op); never clear before confirmed written ack; ambiguous ack safe-retries
- Tombstones: absence on another device is not deletion; soft-delete only with matching sync_id deleted_at; whole-dataset LWW prohibited
- Fail-safe monitors: sudden count drop, remote disappear without tombstone, revision backwards, empty cloud with local, migration shrink, 429/auth/key
- Local record_revisions (metadata + content hash) for overwrite/conflict recovery hints; backup integrity gate refuses empty restore over live data
- CI: npm run test:data-safety gate in Test workflow; docs/data-safety incident + architecture + readiness (AMBER)
- Builds on 1.9.85 durability / empty-cloud / backup-path work (PR #34 lineage)
