Custody Note v1.9.88 — updates for criminal defence professionals using the desktop attendance note app on Windows and macOS.
- QuickFile invoices: enforce strict sequential numbering going forward — peek-only allocate, persist last issued on every success, conflict retries use smallest free (attempted+1) with no large jumps from error-text parsing
- Same-attendance invoice reuse still does not burn a new number; failed non-duplicate creates no longer skip the peeked number
- Unit tests: successive N/N+1/N+2, conflict→N+1 not N+10, reuse without consume, persist after success
